The recall covers models Y, S, 3 and X produced between Oct. 5, 2012, and Dec. 7 of this year.

The software update includes additional controls and alerts “to further encourage the driver to adhere to their continuous driving responsibility,” the documents said.

The update was to be sent to certain affected vehicles on Tuesday, with the rest getting it at a later date, the documents said.

What a stupid statement. Tesla will NOT ""recall"" cars. They will deliver a software patch over the air at night.
Again , we can't fix stupid, these accidents were caused by idiots. Asleep, texting, drunk, speeding, etc. give me a break. One man put sand bag on wheel and went to sleep.

My sentiments exactly! Even with the idiots, Teslas are far safer than any other car. I find the current “nag” software to often be a distraction - Nat a safeguard.

Hmmm. Recalls, as in over-the-air updates? Sensationalist much?

The current regulatory language requires safety-related OTA updates to be deemed a “recall”. The process needs to be updated to 21st-century standards.
So odd that people don't know about that and are up in arms about the 'recall' term. This has been talked about for years.

Fantastic. We are going to mob-style legislate AP and FSD into oblivion due to our broken in-justice system.

I guess when you can beat Tesla, the only options left is to sue or threaten them.

I wonder if this year range includes me since it's so narrow

Sounds like some bullshit. Agreed, needs to be updated.

This is a click bait anti-Tesla article…. to try and throw shade on the stock price and create FUD.
Most people think of an actual recall as that’s what they are accustomed to. I.e. going to dealer. If you don’t read the article then the headline accomplishes its intended purpose.
