Now You Know - Getting Salty?

Hey, I hadn't watched Now You Know the last couple of weeks and just started watching them today. Has anyone noticed Zac and Jesse getting a little saltier than normal? I get that they are covering some really frustrating topics right now. And they certainly have some well-defined views on what is going on around them. But I bet if I go back and count the number of bleeps per show, these last 2 weeks the numbers seem to be way up.

I'm not against the bleeps. Just noticing a rising trend. Makes me wonder if the bleeps per episode on Now You Know might be indicative of the larger "climate" (see what I did there?) arrayed against environmentalism in general and more specifically against EVs (especially Tesla).

Just sayin'.

I think it's fair. Some of these arguments we see in the news are pretty repetitive and disingenuous.

I find them more political on some topics than I would prefer, but agree with them more often than not. The youtuber/influencer I watch that I have strong disagreements with is Dillon Loomis (Electrified) who, it seems to me, is more or less a Libertarian. He is of course entitled to his political/econommic stance, and I still watch his 'show', but I find him more contrarian to my sensibility than Zac and Jessie. Of course, there are youtubers that I find even more contrarian that I won't even watch, and all of this shows how hopelessly mired in Cybertruck 'news' I am, but there you go.

Stopped watching them a few months ago, when it became more than apparent they just don't 'get' Tesla's business model and the essence of Tesla's success. They always seem to want Tesla to become more like legacy OEM automakers (with corporate overhead positions, dealerships, etc). They kept trying to armchair squawk about what they - 'think Tesla needs', while Tesla's demand and ownership experience is already through the roof.

If something's not broke, don't fix it.

If a company is doing better than any of their competitors of the world because they had the proactive vision and optimal design concept for a business model over ten years ago - which is now making the competitors and stale establishment take notice - definitely don't 'fix' it.

Nothing against religious folks of course.

I've never gotten into Now You Know. Decent enough, just find it doesn't grab me. I prefer Hyperchange, Electrified, Limiting Factor, Dr Know It All, Undecided, David Lee to name a few.

In these troubled times (the last several years) everyone is probably on edge, regardless of economic, religious, political, etc. position. I just prefer that we do our best to keep the Cybertruck forum as 'peaceful' as possible, knowing that I fall off the bandwagon too. For so-called influencers, who will probably be the ones chosen to attend Gigafest, and other people in the spotlight (politicians and police most notably), I hold to a higher standard.

They're sitting somewhere where customers' cars aren't getting fixed, and people are being trashed for bs media beefs and misinformation around the energy products.

I'm not a patreon member or anything (don't like the idea of subscriptions generally),
but I appreciate the amount of time and effort they put into their show.
If that much of my time were going into a project I would feel entitled to air my unvarnished opinions in said project.
If they DID feel a certain way about a topic but DIDN'T say it on air for fear of alienating people,
that would annoy me much more than their voicing an opinion I disagree with.

I totally forgot about those guys, stopped watching over a year ago.
They were very basic, typically just parroting stuff we already know, also being a bit too biased for Tesla and Elon, imo.

I regularly watch and read those I disagree with and continue to do so when they make strong arguments for their positions, show they are open minded and rational and so on. I keep having to reread all these posts about libertarians. First pass always hits my brain as being about librarians. Always confused when people hold such strong views about librarians.

And some of my best friends have been libertarians! Just, ya know... eventually they realize that it's utopianism that doesn't account for human behavior and moderate out.
