GMC Hummer EV

Hello,

I am amazed at how good and bad this is. One of my disappointments is that GMC did not keep the portal hubs.

I did like that it comes capable for 37" tires without modification. I also like the roof panels being removable and stowed in the frunk...

Lots of videos and such out there:

So this is what Elon was waiting for, GMC Hummer reveal.

Rivian has done some impressive testing. From the Southernmost part of South America to L.A.
Pulling 11,000 lbs in blistering heat in Arizona climbing 3,500 feet in 11.4 miles and in Death Valley from Stovepipe Wells to Towne Pass with an elevation change of 4,946 with 9.6% grades. Also did some off-road testing in Arizona.

Tesla has not shown the Cybertruck towing or off-road testing.

It's time for Tesla to show the capabilities of the Cybertruck during the cross-country run.

I hope they are not waiting to see what Ford reveals about the EV F-150...

I also hope that this winter or spring that several more examples are made and thus could be used in testing, especially off-road and towing.

I do expect that the Tri-Motor CyberTruck will be able to be less expensive, more efficient, and out perform the Hummer EV E1.

If it wasn't for the price, I have to admit that they almost had me with that new GM tailgate.

Did anyone see specs on the bed size?

If the Hummer EV Edition 1 were more in the $70k to $80k price range, it would be a decent competitor to the CT. The big drawback I see is that it has such limited range in comparison to the CT. 150+ miles difference in range is huge.

inside or outside total width?
This would be exterior requirements. Its the same reason that the Ford Raptor and the Ram TRX have the extra 3 ambers on the front. They exceed the width as they are wide body versions of their respective trucks.

This new Hummer EV costs double a top of the line Cybertruck, and it supposedly gets 350 + miles. I like the convertible pop out roof panels, and some futuristic features seems kind of cool, but some a bit unnecessary (The crab walk).

You are kidding, I hope. Having driven F-350s for many years, I would LOVE to have that crab walk feature! The same mechanism that allows the crab walk allows for a MUCH tighter turning radius. Small parking lots are the bane to long trucks...
