GM will still be around at the end of the decade. But they will be owned by a Chinese car manufacturer.
China is already the largest car market in the world.
In China, GM is not 100% GM, it is 51% a Chinese partner company.
So really in a decade the Chinese will just be mopping up the remaining pieces of GM.

Buggy whip makers in 1900, "that newfangled automobile will never replace the horse."
Big Three automakers in 1949, "that Volkswagon import is never going to be a threat."
Big Three automakers in 1958, "those Japanese imports will never be popular here......too small and underpowered."
GM in 1999, "we tried Electric Vehicles but they will never be more than an unprofitable niche vehicle."
GM, Ford and Stellantis in 2025, "we are making progress on moving to full production of Electric Vehicles but we need a government bailout to cover our bankrupt asses."
Tesla in 2025, "sucks to be you."

GM & Ford are talking out both sides of their mouths.
If you add up the units they claim they will make none of them will be close to Tesla in 2025.
Even combined total of both they will be way below Tesla.

Also GM is problably counting taking 100% credit for the 600,000 $4K micro city EVs (no crush zones, no air bags, no highway speeds, tiny batteries, weak motors ) they make in China with Chinese partner. If those are counted they should only count 49% of 600K since GM is only a 49% partner.

So VW, GM & FORD want the lead over TESLA, Well here are totals using THEIR own numbers !!!

A $100k Corvette would be more sports car than most people would ever need and would be a true flagship. The Hummer is just a giant clown car.
Hey, giant clowns need cars too ya know. :D

Actually, what I am trying to say is that Tesla has set up the board already and what we are seeing in real time is GM playing into an inevitable outcome. When someone has set the board and gives you a “light check”, it is at that moment that you realize things are really bad.

GM took their eyes off the board and didn’t see what was really happening.

I don’t get why everyone gets so much Joy out of an American Icon that employs so many people dying off. I have no doubt both Tesla and GM can sell any EV they can produce. Even if she is B.S.ing about their ability, they are obviously dumping a ton of money into going electric. I don’t get why we wouldn’t want that to happen.

GM will become number one in the electric vehicle market after it changes their name to Golfcart Motors.
