I've been considering a trip to the coast to watch, since it's only about a 5-hour drive. But since the launch vicinity is restricted, the best view is from South Padre island which has limited access. SpaceX plans on frequent launches/landings in the future, so I'll have plenty of chances.

Tim Todd made a whole how-to video just on visting Starbase.




Maybe we can caravan down there for a launch when we all have our Cybertrucks.

I was trying to make it in time to the USA to watch it. Would of gone if I was there. But maybe they will have another one In June when we stay a month in Texas!

That launch plume was absolutely massive. The scale is is deceiving because the ship is so big and there's not much else in the frame to reference from.

Anyone want Texas Fried Gus chicken to measure it? ?
