Sorry to high jack the topic but:

You're a drummer too? Awesome! DW used to be my dream kit, after Tama. Then I bought USA Gretsch 16 years ago and never looked back! Wonder how many of us are drummers on here?
Yeh, funny, Pearl export was my first, then I bought my buddy's kit and cage (Andy Galeon/Death Angel) which I still have in my studio. Finally ended up at DW.

I love your kit!! But OUCH! That hi-hat looks miles away! Might be time for the Danny Carey approach! All love, no hate here!
LOL, actually, I'm only 5'8" and everything is really close, must be picture effect. Looks closely, I have 1 on each side. We wrote a few songs where I did some intricate double bass work and it was waaaaay easy to have an extra hihat on my right + it looked cool as fuck HAHAHAHHAH

I’ll schelp your kit to the stage if you do the same for my B-3 and Leslie….

(What a hijack we've accomplished)

That's fantastic, sucks you didn't win. It's been a lifelong dream of mine to own an electric kit with the mesh heads but my family and then I could never afford it. Quit doing music fulltime 12 years ago and focused on a different career and now here we are! V-drums and Cybertruck!
I grew up pretty beneath the poverty line here in Phoenix. Very grateful to have my kit. I would get in trouble for drawing DW kits in elementary school! haha wild story.

No I worry about wheel covers....

Haha, Nice move and thank you for making a new thread. Didn't know how to do that. Plus I love how you kept the disgruntled in here.

I'll help keep this rogue thread alive! New drummer two years ago at age 51. Best thing I have done yet. Cant believe I waited so long. BTW...Thats a Roland VR 760, much lighter than the real B3..., but pound for pound, its awesome.

In the 70s' (and for another four decades) the Hammond B-3 was no problem.

In MY 70's here is what I gig with... Hammond XK-3 System and Leslie 3300. 99% of the old school rig's sound and feel with about 20% of the weight.
