Optimus can take all the "W"s in your M&Ms and turn them back to "M"s!I can finally buy M&M's and Skittles again. My OCD always made me sort them first. Optimus will be a huge time saver!
All Joking aside, this is really cool.

Once Tesla trains its toddler, Tesla can just update all of the toddlers. No more starting from scratch.Okay, sweet. It caught up to my toddler. Now the race is on! Can I train a human or can Tesla train an AI faster?
Bring it Elon

Boston has been doing this for over a two decades.Think the 2016 Boston Robot is light years ahead. It can do full functioning complex yeast and parkour. In 2023does not compared with just moving blocks while stationary stand?!
This is truly amazing that Optimus actually can turn those W's into M's. Without writing lines of code to make it happen. All the advances that have to be in place the turn the W to an M are here with neural net training. Simultaneously trained instead of sequentially and the dexterity it has to have to do this.Optimus can take all the "W"s in your M&Ms and turn them back to "M"s!
I know nothing about robots, computers or neural nets but from what I have read it seems Boston D is doing by writing code to get the output.Boston has been doing this for over a two decades.
optimus is what, three years old? and the quickness of of reorienting objects in realtime is pretty amazing.
Yeah, not even 3 years. Introduced they were working on a Tesla Bot August 2021 at AI day. The first working prototype walked out on stage on AI day on September 2022, so 1 year.Boston has been doing this for over a two decades.

Agreed. Tesla is a the master of marketing however.Think the 2016 Boston Robot is light years ahead. It can do full functioning complex yeast and parkour. In 2023does not compared with just moving blocks while stationary stand?!

Well, you are bringing up the bigger picture. Much like NACS, and soon FSD. there will be billions made licensing their, what I assume will be one day, AGI to other company's. Nobody has this ability to navigate the real world end to end as Tesla can. First cars then robots.Ok, Ok, So maybe Tesla should team up with Boston on their robot and throw the AI in, as the Boston bot is far more superior physically! Optimus cant do anything or even walk without a tether in its rear attached to Dojo.

Ok, if you're speculating, then speculate away. But when you make definitive statements, that doesn't come across as speculation. Statements like "the Boston bot is far more superior physically!" doesn't sound like a speculation. Or "Optimus cant do anything or even walk without a tether in its rear attached to Dojo." still doesn't sound like speculation. Whether you intended it this way or not, it does come across as a pretty definite statement.Wow, that’s all we do here is speculate on leaks and ideas. Hmmm?!
Boston Dynamics is an amazing company and I worked with them while in the military and we configured their robot dog with sensors for chemical warfare detection, as well as adding a radiological survey meter and isotope detection.Think the 2016 Boston Robot is light years ahead. SpaceX has a BD dog named Zeus. Even has his own doghouse.Boston Dynamics is an amazing company and I worked with them while in the military and we configured their robot dog with sensors for chemical warfare detection, as well as adding a radiological survey meter and isotope detection.
The advantage Tesla has over Boston Dynamics is integrating their robust FSD, they use for vehicles, into Optimus. Also, Boston Dynamics don't have Dojo on their side.
Still a remarkable company, nonetheless.
That's pretty awesome.SpaceX has a BD dog named Zeus. Even has his own doghouse.
